Veteran Series Rule Book IROC Series Rule Book
Nascar 360 non-point races have special rules and some of the following may not those races.
The Bud Shootout The All Star Race
Obviously, we can't impose a rule on everything, and we can't penalize every single mistake on the track (to err is human). Trying to do so would create a season consisting primarily of contempt, ill will, and bickering over a long list of very specific rules. None of us wants a league that has the entire fun factor stripped away by rules, regulations, and boring limitations. But drivers can educate themselves on some basic principles for clean driving and greatly reduce the potential for accidents in the first place. No matter how much we say this is a "fun" league, there still will be a fierce competitive spirit. Using common sense will limit the chances of ending up with a wadded up car, hurt pride, and fewer season points. The more drivers that follow these set of rules, the fewer yellow flags we will have to endure.
League Purpose
To provide an enjoyable, fair, and fun racing environment for Xbox 360 NASCAR drivers. We believe in following the guidelines of our league as well as good sportsmanship. We continually search for drivers who believe the same.
Driver Name, Number, and Team
We require all members to use their Xbox Live Gamertag rather than a nickname. Anybody that registers with anything other than a valid Xbox Live Gamertag will not be permitted to race or have access to the boards. Drivers can choose any team name and any available car but must reserve their respective team/car on our message board. Please choose a number you can live with for an entire season. Once your car number is reserved, you own it for the remainder of the season and it will be the number you run with in every series. There is no rule for what your team name is as long as it is not rude or vulgar. Sponsors, manufacturers, etc are all your choice. Teams are limited to no more than four drivers per team.
Maintaining Your Membership
Drivers will need to continually display good sportsmanship and clean driving skills. We reserve the right to remove any member who consistantly makes our racing environment and/or our message board un-enjoyable. We would like to see ALL our driver's become long time members of this league, but unsporting and rude behavior will result in being permanently eliminated from the league.
League Races
Race rooms will be set based on YTD points standings. Example: If your in the top 12 in the Cup points standings, your in room 1. This rule cannot guarantee that a League Official will be present in every race room, therefore all race hosts will act as League Officials when running league races. In the Nationwide and Truck Series, the top 10 in the points standings will run in room 1. An exception may be made (only in Nationwide & Truck races) by League Officials at the time of any race to move drivers from any room into another to balance the race rooms if needed.
Headsets are required in all league races.
All league races will be run at 50% and collisions and damage will be turned on.
Wear will be set at X2 and Yellow Flags only will be turned on. No flags will be turned on at Road Courses.
There is no rule pertaining to assists since they can not be controlled by the race room hosts.
Cup Series races will be held on Saturday's and start at 8pm. IROC Series races will be held on Wednesday's and start at 8pm. Veteran Series races will be held on Sunday's at 7pm. All times are Eastern. The race host(s) will open their respective race room(s) 15 to 30 minutes before any scheduled race for a pre-race practice/qualifying session.
While race room hosts will send out invites, it is the responsibility of the driver to make sure he enters a race room in a timely fashion. Race room hosts can refuse any driver the ability to race within 10 minutes of any start time unless notified earlier of being late or there are openings available in current race rooms. No additional race rooms will be opened for additional drivers with less than 10 minutes remaining before any start time.
Race rooms will be limited to no more than 14 drivers per room with the additional 2 remaining spots for use as needed. Race room hosts and Nascar 360 Officials will determine if any of the additional openings will be used or not.
Drivers will be protected from disconnects for a specified number of laps based on the track type. If a driver disconnects from a Superspeedway or Road Course within the first 5 laps, a Speedway within the first 10 laps or a Short Track within the first 20 laps, the room will be shut down and restarted with all drivers. However, if a driver is wrecked out of a room and that room is shut down for any reason, it will be considered a new race and all drivers that started the race will be invited back in (original qualifying times will still stand). It is at the descretion of any League Official (or race room host if an Official is not present) to disallow any driver from restarting a race if that driver has demonstrated careless driving and/or has caused multiple cautions. If a driver is not invited back into a race room, said driver will recieve last place points.
If for any reason a driver is wrecked (takes damage) on the first lap of any race, the room can be shut down and restarted as long as the driver that took damage announces it to the host. It is at the discretion of a League Official (or race room host if an Official is not present) to force the driver that causes first lap damage to restart the race at the rear of the field.
We observe the Nascar official race rule. If a room shuts down after 50% of the race is completed, the race will be official and stand as is. However, if a room should shut down before the race is 50% complete, the race will restart from the beginning and drivers will re-qualify. Qualifying times from the first race attempted will stand.
Due to EA Sports servers, no drivers that has been wrecked out of a race for any reason, will be allowed to leave the race session until the race is back to green flag racing. Drivers will recieve a 50 point penalty for leaving the race room while the race is still under the yellow flag.
Points System
Nascar 360 currently observes the Official Nascar Points System. Drivers will receive 1 bonus points for leading a single lap and 1 bonus points for leading the most laps and 3 bonus points for a win on top of their finishing order points.

The Chase for the Cup
The top 10 drivers from the Cup Series will make The Chase for the Cup. Two additional drivers ranked from 11-20 with the most wins will also make The Chase. In case of a tie, the driver with the highest rank in the Cup standings will make The Chase.
To be eligible for The Chase, drivers must maintain an attendance record of 80% of the regular season races including Provisionals throughout the regular season. If any Chase driver fails to meet the attendance requirement, the next driver in line will make The Chase providing that driver has met the attendance requirement and so on. The points for the top 12 drivers will be reset to 5500 for Chase contenders with 10 races remaining. The winners from each regular season race will receive 3 bonus points towards their Chase points and the standings will be reset accordingly.
Careless/Reckless Driving
Careless and reckless driving will not be tolerated. If a driver believes another driver is handling their car in a careless or reckless manner, they should notify an Official of the league through a private message on the message board. The league Officials will watch for careless and reckless driving closely and penalize reoccurring issues accordingly.
Penalties
Mistakes will be made on the track, and nobody wants to give or receive penalties, but we all need to be held accountable for our actions. If any driver violates the rules on the track, a warning may be issued by a Race Official. Rule violations will be tracked for the purpose of penalizing repeat offenders. The first offense will be a warning, the second offense will be a points reduction, the third offense will be a 1-race suspension, and the fourth will result in expulsion from the league.
However, Nascar 360 and it's Officials reserve the right to set penalties in any order seen fit based on the severity of the infraction.
Provisionals
We all know that there will be times when we have situations and/or emergencies that will prevent us from making a race. Because of this, each driver will have 5 provisionals available per season with a maximum of 2 available for The Chase. Drivers will be responsible for notifying a league Official to request provisional points in advance. Drivers who wish to receive provisional points for a missed race will receive 21 points per occurrence. Once all provisionals have been used, drivers will no longer score points for missed races.
NOTE: Drivers suspended from a race will not receive provisional points.
Slow Paced Cars/Lapped Cars
Drivers that are off the pace for any reason should stay out of the line or racing groove when being approached by faster cars. We all have bad days and there will be times when a driver will go down a lap or more for whatever reason. When this happens, drivers are expected to give way to those drivers that are on the lead lap, giving them plenty of room to get by. It's ok to fight to get your lap back or fight to stay on the lead lap, but if a driver can't maintain the pace of other cars around him, that driver must give way. Simply let the leaders know where to pass (i.e. high or low) then give way. The favor may be returned to you some day.
Cheating
Cheating in any form will not be tolerated! If a driver is found to be cheating, using mods, hacks, loopholes or otherwise manipulating the system or software to gain an advantage, including stand by, bridging, or any other form of manipulation, they will be immediately expelled from the league!
Pausing to prevent damage at any time during a Nascar 360 league race is a form of manipulation and any driver that uses the (start) button to pause their game will be penalized 50 championship points from whatever series that driver has the most points in and receive last place points for the race the infraction occurred in. This rule applies to all Nascar 360 series collectively and combined. The second offence will result in a one race suspension from whichever series that driver has the most points in. Permanent expulsion from Nascar 360 will follow.
